Re: What do you buy "back-up duplicates" of?

If I find something I like and it comes in other colors, I buy all or most of the colors. I would not buy an exact mutliple tho; i.e. - 2 pair of the same pant in the same color.

I have so many clothes it is a shame. I don't have to worry about running out of something I want to wear if I don't do laundry for awhile.

@DottieBlue

The name of the glasses company is Mare Azzuro and they show them on a man, but they have the option to choose women's as well. There are other styles, but look at the size measurements in the description, as some styles are slightly smaller than others. Good luck!

I buy duplicates of many things which has paid off. I found a bra years ago that I liked so I bought extras. Thank goodness because it was discontinued. I wish I’d bought even more. Other things that I wear routinely that are hard to find like yoga pants without elastic. They used to be plentiful but now everything is elastic and compression, not the soft cotton yoga pants of old. Things evolve and change so it’s been a blessing to have extras. They definitely get used.

Re: What do you buy "back-up duplicates" of?

On Black Friday this year I treated myself to duplicates:

My inventory of Easy Spirit clogs needed to be restocked and Boscov's online had a great sale plus the Rakuten cashback.

The Kilronan Irish wool V-neck poncho just arrived from the Q this week....navy, hunter green.....and sale-priced with the cashback deal from Rakuten.

If it happens again, I am getting more colors. I got it extra large because I want the roominess for when I sit and read or enjoy my iPad. In early Spring or late Fall, they will be perfect for walks outside !

Any and everything I love. While I am sure my wardrobe is very small comparatively, some parts of my closet look like a retail store with several same style/color items hanging right next to one another.

Let's not forget shoes. I have built in shoe shelves in my closet. There you will see several duplicate shoes/boots keeping each other company.😄

I don't know if I would consider it back ups as much as over indulging over the years. (Guilty)------

Though I have bought duplicates of clothing and or certain shoes in the past that I loved and always wanted available to me. Other than that my back ups were the rest of my clothing, which even though I have given multiples to charity (yes, some with the tags still on them) I still buy and have more than I need, sadly.

Re: What do you buy "back-up duplicates" of?

Oh yes. I have backups of Denim and Co. skorts that I wear all the time (3 different colors.) I also have backups of two pairs of shoes. By backups, I mean duplicates of the exact same item, color and size (I am sure that is what the OP meant anyway.) I did have backups of an Isaac Mizrahi dress, but the dress shrank so I already gave those away. I have to be careful because this is an easy way for me to waste money. Sometimes I think that these items will never be made again, so I have to get backups. While that may be the case, it does not mean that something else, perhaps better, will be available to purchase.

Re: What do you buy "back-up duplicates" of?

It just occurred to me that not only do I "buy" duplicates, I make them.

....

I have a few favorite styles of sweaters. I must have made close to a dozen of the two crochet cardigan patterns, and easily another dozen of the ribbed turtleneck pullover. Another - more intricate knitted cardigan - I think I have three or four of those.

...

Different yarns, different colors, different gauges ..... different looks.
