Long tops that make most women's backsides seem enormous; the cold shoulder look; leggings worn with tops that hover around the waist; clunky boots; enormous purses.

I do want to defend ballet flats: I haven't been able to wear heels for over a decade. I've also had a hip replacement and two knee replacements. The flats work for me--I can stand and walk with confidence. I own many attractive ballet flats.
