Shirtwaist dresses?
My mother had some really pretty ones and my aunt did too. They were more fitted . My aunt wore a large blue and white striped hat with hers.
My mothers was a pretty coral color.

@Foxxee I would think these were the "it" dresses of their day and helped pave the way for todays styles.

These also remind me of the dresses my grandmothers wore. They called them house dresses. I guess they were more loosely fitting than a shirtwaist dress. They were made of a nice lightweight cotton. Hard to find these days!
