@MacDuFF: Hello friend! Sorry I missed you last week. It was a good one around here, but mad busy. No fashion items purchased during that week- thrifted or otherwise.
I will jump ahead to #3. LOVE that thrifted lounge outfit! The Hop Sing reference made me LOL!
Of course outfits 1 & 2 are great, as always. You favor silver jewelry, and I favor the gold.
I especially like the vintage BMak silver leather hobo. A classic!
Is there anything better than EF black crepe pants? Only those pants purchased for $12.00!! I have 2 pairs scored at thrift. One pair is too large to wear anymore, but I haven't yet been able to part with them. I should release them for someone else's enjoyment. My favorite pair of pants- Ever.
Just a couple of thrifted fashion finds last week.:
a NIB Evelyn & Bobbie front close bra. Several bins full donated in various sizes. Color was dependent on the size needed. The front closure was very hard to fasten. For $1.00 I thought I would try one- why not? And, from another thrift store,
Dark gray knit EF pull on ankle pants. More than $12.00, but as you know, quality and fit for EF, especially in pants, is unmatched.
Thanks for your weekly post, have a great week and keep on summer stylin'!

You look lovely in #3! What a gorgeous jacket. Red is definitely your color.
I like the jeans in #1 as well. You have worn other shirts that I honestly would prefer over the striped ones....

I would like #2 with non-wide-leg white or dark jeans, or wheat colored jeans. I love the black and white!!!!

Like 2 the most, but honestly, all three are nice.

@OKPrincess Agree the lounge set #3 is too warm for outdoors, but I only wear it indoors and it's perfect with the AC on. It works so far, but I'm not in love because it's not really me. Eventually, I'll find something else and will re-donate this set. Aesthetically speaking, the Barefoot Dreams look would be kind of more me (casual), but talk about hot! And the prices don't match the value for me.
Thanks @IMW I feel rather chichi foo foo in it, and I'm definitely not a chichi foo foo kind of person haha.
@QVCkitty1 Except for a few gold pieces from my Mom, I peek in there once in a while and wonder why I even bought any gold jewelry. Then I feel guilty and force myself to wear it. Whyyyy?!
Hi @teganslaw I honestly can't put my finger on why I dislike #1, but love #2. Something is just not right about #1. Maybe it's a picky MacDuff thang haha.
@Lisa Y You have a good point about proportions. My Mom (your favorite Aunt hahaha) would agree with you. And, I, too, agree with the old rule of thumb about a slimmer top with looser/flowy bottoms (and vice versa). I don't know why I loved the same/similar arrangement of looser/flowy Dad jeans with a looser/flowy top (Doncaster linen/matching cami) from last week, but disliked this version! Enjoy your day, too, Cuz.
Thanks @shoptilyadropagain I have to admit I thought that earring clipped to the necklace was pretty darned clever. It's Murphy's Law that, just when I finally figure out a way to get more use out of my gold jewelry, I'm thinking about purging. It's always something.
@River Song The shirt is definitely more vivid in real life, but I think I see what you mean...there's no real contrast to the whole outfit. Wait, whaaat? Are you suggesting I get rid of my Dad jeans?! Bite your tongue woman! Y'all can pry my Dad jeans from my cold dead hands!! I kid, I kid. I know the baggy jean look isn't everyone's cuppa tea. Mine aren't insanely baggy. I went to Marshall's today and took some pics from different angles and would love to know if posters think these look too baggy...
They look tapered at the hem, but they aren't...they are a true A-line from the waistband to the hem...
Thanks @PhilaLady1 That's Fluffy, the Huntress, one of two ferals who have laid claim to our backyard. That top step is hers and don't you forget it. The other one, a yellow cat we named Tommy Yo Yo, owns the top step to the other screen door where she sleeps All. Day. Long. Laziest cat on the planet!
Hi @queendiva Missed you last week, too! Can you take your EF crepe ankle pants in or have a tailor do it? If they're pull-on and have straight lines, it should be easy/not too expensive...? They're your favorite pair of pants ever!! It might be worth it.
I hear ya @Sooner I have and do wear that shirt in #1 with darker, slimmer bottoms. Your comment about wheat colored bottoms made me think that shirt might go with my tan slacks...I'll have to try that. (I'm old, too, and do not "do" mornings...I feel your pain!)
Thank you @piperbay @DSD2 @AuntG
And thanks to all!

Jeans you tried on do not look baggy to me.

I knew you would be scandalized by my suggestion that the Dad jeans gotta go, LOL! You are married to those jeans.
Ask yourself, why wear drab and mediocre outfit #1 when you look fabulous in outfit #2?
p.s. they still gotta go!

@River Song I do love my Dad jeans...very comfortable, and they give me an option (baggy/looser vs slim) from my usual uniform. Using "which jeans do you wear the most" as criteria for being "married to"...that would be my slim/straight AG Harpers (I own 4 pair). It's ridiculous how often I wear them three seasons. The second most worn are my AG Isabelle crops (own 3). It's ridiculous how often I wear them in summer.
Thanks @AuntG Those pics are of my Dad jeans. I have 2...one cream colored and the blue denim ones that I wore to Marshall's. Here's another angle. I swear to y'all these aren't insanely baggy, don't drag on the ground, and they fit in the crotch haha (that hanging crotch trend is awful IMO)...
Hope everyone is having a nice week.

Regarding the Dad jeans, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" (Hamlet). LOL
I get it, we all have clothes we are attached to. I just went through my closet and put stuff in the donate pile that just don't do me any favors in terms of style, color or size. I've decided that I'm only keeping clothes that look great on me and weeding out the mediocre stuff.
