@MacDuFF I loved your clever informative article MacMath😁 is a keeper!

As I'm retired and no longer have to go to an office and travel, I've given away many clothes. I am a handbag lover, but I only have about 10 now. I've donated many (all in excellent shape) and it's given me great pleasure to know that others are out there enjoying them. I probably have about 25 pairs of shoes but also always donate them when they are in pristine shape.

The blue jacket in #1 is beautiful as are the boots. You look amazing. I also covet your blue bag.

Thank you for bringing a huge smile to my day!

Cute looks and I just love the quilted jacket!

I've never counted my clothes (or shoes & purses) but now you've got me curious.  I'm sure I have tons more than 122....but that doesn't mean I can get into them though LOL!

Re: What I Wore 10/20/24...

[ Edited ]

@MacDuFF

Very fun and interesting post to read.

Nice pieces & outfits.

Since you asked...

I have more clothing items than you, but fewer shoes and handbags.

I have 6 handbags. Two nicer bags for dressing up: one in black and one in blush. Four casual bags: one each in black, navy, red, and camel. That's plenty for me. I only a buy a new handbag when an old one is falling part.

On the other hand, I love shoes, but I have worked hard to curb that obsession. I used to own about 90 pairs, but I only have about 25 now. I stopped going shoe shopping unless I really needed something. I own ballet flats, loafers, sneakers, boots, wedges, and a few heels. I only own one pair of sandals as they aren't my preferred footwear.

Like you I have more than enough clothes and can make tons of outfits. I love a variety of tops so I'm always buying something new in that category. I also buy a lot of sweaters, blazers, and jackets. Since retiring a few years ago, I keep saying I will cut back on clothes shopping, but I haven't done that. It's more difficult for me to stop buying clothes than shoes. I think it's because I get bored more easily wearing the same clothing than I do wearing the same shoes. 🤔

Have a Great Week!

122 pieces, that seems like a nice reasonable amount of clothes.  I think I have way more pieces than that.  I tend to buy something I like in multiple colors/prints including shoes and purses.

It seems I may have a problem with an overabundance of footwear and handbags. Me😧! It's so embarrassing! I should have included footwear and bags in The Great and Terrible Purge of 2018😆.  It snuck up on me, I swear!

My handbags are mostly stored out-of-the-way in drawers, so I don't have a problem with them cluttering up my closet (how's that for a rationale😬).

But, yeah, footwear is quickly approaching the danger zone. Confession: I have to lean precariously over my sneaker collection strewn on the closet floor to reach my sweaters.

Time for a mini-purge.

My sneakers are staying though! Don't touch my sneakers😠!

❤️❤️❤️ and many thanks to all for your comments.

Here's what's comical - I get your MathMsMac! @MacDuFF

You're killing me with only 122 clothing pieces ALL in your one closet. I'm embarrassed to say I've taken over the closet in the master bedroom, a spare bedroom, the walk-in in the main floor bathroom, oh and you can't leave out the two very long steel bars of seasonal trade-outs on the third floor.

I need therapy, I admit it. I don't, I can't do what you do - one in, one out. Know this of me however, through my lifetime (I'd say 30s and beyond) I have donated seriously a million bags of clothing items.

I can hear you now - excuses, excuses, excuses.

You'd have a hay-day or three or four shopping in my closet(ssss).

Love your humor!

@MacDuFF   I love the blue Talbots jacket and the other clothing pieces you put with it. Talk about versatility! You're good at putting outfits together so nothing really looks like a repeat.

I haven't counted the number of clothing items, handbags, or shoes to know how many I have. Let's just say I plead the 5th! 😆

I do go through my clothes each season, and tend to let go of items I can donate. Just recently, I donated 8 pairs of jeans I no longer wear.

BTW, I would totally download the MacApp! Having pictures of different ways to style something is a great idea.
Enjoy your day everyone.
