Hi fashion friends. I hope you are all well and happy.

We had one of those beautiful rare summers with mostly tolerable humidity, and, if the temp went above 95ish at all, I don't remember it. I can prove it by showing you our energy bills from this summer and last.😁 The weather for the past month or so has been mild with good rainfall and average temps in the low to mid 80s. Love!

I've already taken all my cashmere/wool out of storage (a fancy word for stashed under the bedšŸ˜†) and will probably start wearing lightweight cashmere this week. Light base layers and sneaks are in play, too.

I have a part-time job working for my massage therapist. It's mindless data entry (for now), which means I've come full circle as my very first job (other than babysitting) was data entry, and this will likely be my last job. Work from home, make a little pocket money, and feel like I'm helping someone...it's all good. I hope I can keep it up, though, because I ain't getting any younger and have slowed down a lot in the last few years.😢

For the past several years, when I've counted my clothes (I'm a counter haha), I consistently have between 120ish and 130ish items of clothing. Approximately 85% were thrifted, a smaller % are either very old or purchased at brick/mortar. These are items I love and wear regularly. If I tire of an item or if it shows signs of wear, I usually replace like for like. I have maybe four or five items I rarely wear for various reasons. The rest are rotational items (for lack of a better description)...I thrift something that doesn't quite work out, wear it for a while, then donate. Then I get to shop for more.😁

You can assume most items in any outfit were thrifted.

Anyhoo, here are a few outfits that I hope inspire you to be creative and to shop your closet.

This was the inspiration pic (from last week's Fashion Favorites thread)...

#1

This was my interpretation. I only own one animal print scarf...and, no, I'm not going to run out and buy an animal print clutch, belt or pair of shoes (don't even think it)! I could have worn the tan sandals (in #2), but I can't get over the incongruity of wearing a sweater with sandals.šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Lisa Todd cotton star sweater. Ebay seller called it pink😠, but, at best, you might could call it orange-y coral (one of the reasons I don't shop eBay much anymore). At least it's not blaze or pumpkin orange! Mesmerize "Mariel" khaki slacks, Eileen Fisher suede taupe mules, Harbour 2nd leather crossbody.

Chocolate brown ruffle front button down Garron blouse, Mesmerize "Mariel" slacks, Bueno sandals, SAK bag...

#3
Same blouse, my new favorite men's Wrangler straight jeans, fashion cowgirl boots, Brighton woven bag...

The tops (blouse is a true chocolate brown IRL)...

The bags...

If I don't get back to this thread for days or at all, I apologize...I'm scrambling as fast as I can, which isn't all that fast!šŸ‘µ I'm always thankful for your comments. I hope everyone has a great week.ā¤ļø

You look lovely in all your outfits. We are going away for  few days tomorrow and I shopped my closet this afternoon. I am pleased with the results.

I'm not a great lover of leopard print clothing but I love the orangish shirt, khaki pants and leopard accessories, which are just the right touch.  I just got a pair of leopard and tan suede sneakers that would look perfect.

@MacDuFF   Just love your taste in nicely turned out casual clothing.  It suits me perfectly.

I like #1 the best. I think the lighter colors look so good on you!

You posted my favorite outfit from last week with the orange and the leopard - oh, I just adore this!

Your outfits look wonderful --- as usual!  I love everything and you are the perfect model!

Congrats on your job!  That's great!  Working at home, too -- that's the best!

@MacDuFF you look terrific in all 3 outfits! Thank you for the link for the pink blazer/jacket last week, the price was so reasonable but unfortunately the smallest size offered would have been too wide in the chest.

As always you look great in all of them.  #2 would be my favorite.  I love the Sak and Brighton handbags.
