Re: What Do You Look For In Clothing Design?

I wont by skinny jeans or leggings, had a couple of pairs and just never got into them and my ankles like freedom Smiley Happy Also no to crop tops and anything that says 'bae' on it! I'm currently switching out all of my junior sized clothes into the misses/women's department and don't fit right in juniors now anyway. I absolutely love wide legs and flare styled jeans. I have a pair of Issac's 24/7 wide leg jeans on my wishlist, just waiting for it to go on easy pay.

I'm trying to get into jewelry and looking for some flats, I'm super wide footed in the front and very narrow in the back so like none of them fit right Smiley Sad I'm usually a jeans and sneakers girl Smiley Happy

Re: What Do You Look For In Clothing Design?

I like a tailored garment, slightly fitted to ever so slightly fitted both top and  bottom. I prefer classic colors, and will use floral blouses if the prints are smallish and the pattern placement is right. I like bootcut and straight leg pants that come up to just below the natural waist. I try and stay away from anything tight around the waist, like coats with belts or belts over tunics, even though I like the look on others. I hate the feeling of being constrained, so I also hate wearing bras, but I like the function, so wear one. I do not like the show of cleavage so look for things that avoid that. I will wear tight layering tops if they are soft, and launder without pilling as so many soft garments do. I will not wear anything that is very oversized because it doesn't look good on me personally.

Clothes have to be functional too. I avoid those things that I'll get very little wear out of, so they must be multi purpose for the most part, exceptions of wedding and formal wear, but they must do the above.

Tops/Dresses/Jackets/Coats

  • Prefer longer length tops.
  • Necklines. must cover my collar bone.  No "V", scoop, square, etc.
  • No princess seaming in tops, dresses or jackets
  • No fitted clothing.  No fitted bodices or defined waistline - I have a long torso - ready-made fitted doesn't fit me.
  • No pockets on side seams in coats, jackets or tops
  • No 3/4 sleeves - prefer long, cap or sleeveless, and I want my long sleeves to come down over my wrist..
  • Coats must come below my knees
  • Dress/skirts must come below knees
  • I look for items that are a bit different.

Pants

  • No fly front zippers on pants - side zip okay.
  • No pockets on pants
  • No boot cut pants
  • I love wide leg pants and palazzo pants.

Colors/Prints

  • No placement prints
  • No florals or other ditzy prints - prefer geometric or bold abstract.
  • Anything I buy has to fit into my clothing color palette.
  • I like "jazzy" jackets, scarves and accessories.
  • I enjoy embellishment.

Fabrics

  • I don't mind fabrics that have to be hand washed or dry-clean-only.

Re: What Do You Look For In Clothing Design?

I look for machine washable only. I've had a bad experience at the dry cleaners & avoid it like the plague. I often avoid 'lay flat to dry' because my husband tries to help and will throw everything iin the dryer before I realize it. I try to put those items in mesh bags so nobody can miss it, but every now and then something gets ruined by mistake.

@Andreatoo

My husband has strict orders:  Do not touch the laundry, period.  Don't even think about it!!

If I got seriously sick, my clothes would be doomed.
