Re: What Designer do you miss that left the Q?

Louis will always be the gold standard of QVC fashion.

@RollTide2008 - Rachel Zoe was on QVC.  I have a few of her pieces too and a really cool purse.  She brought something different to the Q.

Who was the female designer--petite, long blonde hair--who brought many silk items to QVC?

I think her name was Pamela Dennis.

Re: What Designer do you miss that left the Q?

I agree with several of your points @ellietoo .

Let me address just one.

Wool. No one wants it.

No one knows how to launder it.

They feel surprised, foolish, or cheated when it shrinks.

They're used to synthetics which don't absorb/retain ambient odor as wool can.

Textile industry has changed, there's new ways of working the fibers, but too many folks will just insist all wool is itchy because it was itchy 50 years ago.

That keeps demand low.

Research reveals some who itch with redness is due to minute amt of lanolin retained in the fiber.

It's actually a sensitivity to the lanolin, not the wool. (read this interesting tidbit year's ago)

Fake, simulated wool-type fabrics are abundant & relatively inexpensive compared to wool.

Wool is renewable, wears so well they make rugs out of it, and I think there's some natural repellent about the lanolin, but I'd have to Google to check on that.

I like wool. ☺

But I think fashion designers don't use it due to all of the above.

@Biftu   Louis retired so the Q did not let him go.  He was an excellent designer.

I like wool, but I don’t like the dry cleaner. Therein lies the dilemma.
