I've lived in Virginia all my life, and unless the wedding venue is in the mountains, it wont be that cold (mid-October) in the evening...

Breezy or chilly, perhaps, but it doesn't get cold down here until mid-November.

However, I do suggest something with long sleeves or a jacket - Especially, if you're a cold-natured person...

That way, you have the option of wearing/removing the jacket, depending on the temperature.

Back on the subject of Italia knit by Dennis Basso mentioned earlier (pants) what do you think about a top like this?

The pink top is being worn with faux leather pant. I purchased a pair by Candace Cameron Bure last season (love the fit) and even though I did not wear them anywhere, I still plan to!

Hello, Macy's has this pantsuit and to me it is not mother-of-the bride or too matronly. I think you could wear it for different events too, like a graduation or shower.

it's a chance to dress up a bit
