@birdQ13   This pant suit is from Dillards. There's beading at the very top. It's available in other colors.

Another suggestion is this taffeta blouse from Dillards (comes in other colors) with black dress pants. You could wear a nice necklace with it.

Or, maybe a black pant suit and a special blouse.

Re: Wedding guest attire suggestions?

i like doing separates.

love wearing a palazzo pant and a basic black tank (maybe with some lace on it if you like.)

you can then find a kimono topper, a shrug, or a beaded cardigan to top it all off. this way you can easily use all the pieces again in different fashion looks.

Re: Wedding guest attire suggestions?

I would try Chico's.  They have some nice outfits like these and if you catch a sale, great prices!   Also I would get something substantial, not such light material as some of these look like they are.  It's most likely to be quite chilly in October in the evening.  I usually order online but  if you have a store not far from you the staff is very helpful with these things. @birdQ13

Love this.
My daughter is getting married in October.
This would be perfect.
Could you send me this link?
Love it.

Re: Wedding guest attire suggestions?

I don't know how you like to dress so making a suggestion is impossible.  I went to a very dressy shower in the spring.  Cocktails outdoors/lunch indoors but the big french doors were open.  I knew it would be chilly.  I chose an Anthony pantsuit in berryish color for the long sheer sleeves and the pants.  I carried a pashmina-like shawl with me.  Not sure where you've been looking but maybe stop looking for a pantsuit and look for separates that you can dress up with a sparkly or lacy tank and your shoes and jewelry.

@Desert Lily    The blue blouse with the black dress pants is gorgeous. It's very sophisticated. And with black heels and the right necklace it would be perfect for a fall wedding.

Some of the flowing chiffon looking outfits look a little dated or "mature" to me. And like another poster said they would not be worn again. Whereas a blouse like this could be worn many times.

I suggest a tan/beige pant suit with a matching color silk blouse and a pearl or turquise  necklace or scarf. Very classy and stylish.

I definitely would not wear tan or beige.   The mothers or grandmother's of the couple often choose those colors.

Unless you are a fashion hound and don't mind wearing an outfit just once, I'd go for something not quite so extravagant that could be worn to chuch or out to dinner.

Re: Wedding guest attire suggestions?

Just went to a wedding and the bride requested white, beige, tan for all guests.  So her pictures would look good.  A tad vane?  I was shocked. Anyway, I was happy that one man showed up in a bright blue shirt.  And another woman had the loudest purple outfit on ever!  I like all the pant suits I saw here and your own eye and style is usually the right one. We have a way of making our own style that fits with who we are. Good luck!
