I love color.   I tend to wear all colors regardless of the season, but in fall and winter the darker hues of the colors and in spring and summer the brighter hues.  Green for example, in fall and winter, forest green, darker olives.  Smmer - lime green, bright green, etc.  I love the wines, berry and burgundy for fall/winter.  Love browns all colors except khaki.  My closets look like rainbows of color.

I wear alot of printed pants.  If solid pants, I ususally wear a printed top of some kind - geometic, stripe, floral, and so on.

The only black I wear is in pants and I pair with a colored or printed top.  Never wear jeans, my least favorite type of clothes.  Also not fond of white but wear in summer with bright tops.  Wear some pastels - not often but wear them in every season depending on the fabric.

My summer collection of crops and capris is in many brght colors yellows, oranges, bright pinks and fuchsias, bright green, lime. touquoise.

KathyM23, your style sounds exactly like mine. Jeans are not my favorite type of clothing either; prefer not to wear them.  I use to have several different colors of wool pants with a lining I wore in the winter but they eventually got too small on me. You were so warm when you wore them and now corduroy pants have taken their place for me.  We think so much alike!

I think if you have a pretty print shirt, wearing a pair of colored pants that brings out a favored color in the top greatly enhances the look.  I have a tall stack of colored pants for both summer and winter wear.  I wear jeans often but not black or navy pants.

pinkcardigreypants-fb.pngThis is a nice look and I have a twin set in burgundy which would also look nice with the gray pants.

burgundy-blazer-burgundy-cropped-top-burgundy-dress-pants-large-31452.jpgI would have worn a tan blazer I have that has a burgundy stripe in it to pair with the pants and forgo the belt. Lol once I looked closely I do believe that is her midriff.  Either way, I would wear a long sleeve turtleneck or mock top in burgundy.

I agree about the top and pants to bring out the colors in the top.  Gray and navy blue are nice to go together.  That was my MIL" favorite look in pants or a skirt outfit.  Love camel with dark brown too  Green with navy is also a beautiful combination.

@crawford5153

I love green and navy especially the way they do the tartan plaids.  I like camel and dark fudge together but I really, really like woolen camel pants with a black turtleneck.  I have recently purchased the plum skirt and jacket (LDO) and I wear a navy with plum stripe Breton top, navy heels and clutch.

i only have two pairs of 'dress' pants, a black pair and a grey pair.  they are rarely worn LOL.   i wear jeans during our short winter and the rest of the year it's capris and bermudas with an occasional skirt or sundress.   very simple, very casual.

I'm short.....and I wear a solid column of my "basic".   Accesorize with "color" only with jewelry, a scarf, etc.

I like fashion colors but I look terrible in Capri pants. Day to day in jeans or yoga pant and shorts, skirts and dresses in the summer.

I only wear jeans for dress and casual.  The tops make them dressy or casual.
