Personally I think it looks like a person got dressed in the dark and left before checking themselves in a mirror. As for myself, I prefer classics that are always flattering to a girl's figure. But to each its own!

The short-over-long look has been around for quite a few years. Back in about 2007 or 2008 my sister gave me a set as a birthday gift (from Lord & Taylor). The short was a sweater rather than a jacket.

I agree Kathleen. It's been around for at least that long. Probably longer. I remember buying a short sweater that tied in the front in about 2000. It was meant to wear over a longer top.

I'm pretty old and I do like the look, can't say I wear it much myself, but I like it. I really wish longer blazers would come back. I look so much better in a longer jacket.

It's not exactly new, that look has been around many years now. That doesn't mean that everyone has to like it. I admit, it took me a while but now I do it all the time.

I don't really like it either. I only wear a new trend if I feel right in it. If I feel silly or uncomfortable it is not for me. I have to feel confident when I go out the door.

Re: Wearing T-shirts longer than jackets

With the right clothing pieces, the right cut, and the right proportion, the longer-top-under-shorter-jacket can be a very nice look. Go wrong with any of the above, and it's just sloppy.

Re: Wearing T-shirts longer than jackets

I know it's a popular look, but I don't like it at all. I think it's sloppy. Most people to me look like they're wearing their kid sister's clothes over their own. I'm tired of seeing all these crop jackets. I'm tall, and I know that adds to my dislike of the look.
