Just thought you'd like to see actress Brenda Strong on the Dallas remake in her cold shoulder top (2012). I don't know about you all, but when I saw this onscreen, it made me uncomfortable for some reason. Maybe because it's one of those designs that seems overdone?
(Obviously 2012 isn't the first time a cold shoulder has appeared in fashion. I only add this because otherwise someone is sure to mention it.)

I was watching an old Columbo episode a couple of months ago ... actress in one restaurant scene was wearing cold shoulder.

Yes, I've read about it, @Barb114

And if you get the wrong fit it looks like heck.

Cold shoulder goes back in further than that. Slinky was doing that cold shoulder look about 15 years ago. I'm sure it was around way before that.

I am not crazy about the look. Maybe if I was 20 again I may have liked it. I am more on the conservative side in my 60's.

So far, I think SilleeMee has produced the best evidence of the look dating back a ways.
