Warmest material for a coat?

The faux fur thread got me thinking about warm coats. Some swear their faux fur is their warmest coat. I have one and it's true its warm and heavy. My down coat is my warmest coat. I prefer it as it lighter than the faux fur. I don't own a wool coat. I do have a wool scarf and it's my warmest scarf. So what do you think is warmest? Fur, faux fur, down, wool or any other material?
