gazelle.........Glad it's temporary. I've used crutches for various ankle sprains. And, yes, a waist-pack is handy, for sure! Wishing you a quick recovery.

I'm glad to hear it. I don't understand where people put their stuff when they walk? I walk every day and need a place to carry my things (e.g., ipod, phone, walkman, keys, tissues, money, etc). Right now I'm using this, but it's not quite large enough - Item # H197470.

I forgot to mention that my four waist packs have room enough for a small phone. I usually leave it (phone) in my car, anyway, for car emergencies. I'm not one who enjoys talking on the phone when I'm doing other things.

I am in no way endorsing the waistpack (or fanny pack if you prefer) as a fashion statement, but for some things we do outside it can be useful. I frequently wear a small one when gardening so that I have a safe place to keep keys, music player, and readers. Gardening aprons with pockets are fine (I have one), but prefer to keep my keys and music player in something zipped up so that they aren't falling out. I would also think those who exercise outdoors can make good use a small one.

Gag! Another way to look like a tourist again when traveling. Picture it---shorts, loud shirt, hat, camera around the neck, and the fanny pack!

I could not agree more. Nothing says tourist like a fanny pack.
