Are you kidding me? I just saw this Dennis Basso faux leather embroidered moto jacket (A-343912) presented this morning in Leah Williams’ show.  

Even down to the embroidery, it is almost the same jacket as Colleen Lopez’s jacket on HSN.   I have Colleen’s jacket in black, and it really is fabulous (563-098).  The major difference is Colleen’s jacket has a much edgier design overall, which I love.  But there are just too many similarities to believe that either of them had an original design. 

Dennis went on & on about how his jacket came straight from his runway.  So, who stole from who?

I like Colleen’s better.It seems more stylish and less boxy.They are very similar..couldn’t say who sloe from who but there are differences.

I think Colleen mentions her designs are always inspired by what’s “in”. I also saw something similar from Dolce Gabanna.

Plus, faux leather has really come a long way.  Colleen’s jacket is soft and has that substantial leather feeling at the same time.  I get lots of compliments on it.  I think all the colors are lovely.

Neither of them is likely to be the absolute original -  the differences are in the details.  A fashion historian can probably find a similar jacket from quite a while back.

Both of the jackets work depending on what the wearer needs.  I like CL's version a bit better, but that doesn't matter because hers is too short and too narrow in the bust and down to work on my body.  Dennis' is slightly more generous without being as boxy as many I've seen, but my body definitely needs that slight extra.

Colleen Lopez copied a Blank NYC jacket EXACTLY. This jacket was created by BNYC a few years ago. The below picture is the original BNYC jacket. And I hate wearing my original one since HSN did a cheap knock-off.
