Just read that Vince Camuto passed away Jan. 21 from cancer. I have always liked his designs & watched him when he was on HSN. I didn't know that he co-founded Nine West & the Jones New York brands. Vey sad for his family.

RIP Vince Camuto. Love your shoes and perfume too!

Actually Nine West was sold to Jones Apparel Group in the early '90s. Vince Camuto's Nine West was established in 1978. IIRC the original Nine West was just shoes and handbags - after they were sold to Jones they added RTW clothing.

I believe that B Makowsky and his wife started out at Nine West.

He "owned" the Dillard's shoe lines and I am going to miss the great shoes they produced unless someone steps in his shoes to do an equally great job. I love Dillard's shoe department. They floor me! I have terrible feet that hurt just from hitting the floor and the shoes at Dillard's made my aching less severe, thanks to Vince Camuto.

The Vince Camuto boots I own were comfortable right out of the box! No break-in time needed. I hope they never wear out. His sandals are comfy too.

Oh, very sad news...love his designs, esp shoes & boots. What a visionary! I wondered why he was not on HSN even for his Today's Specials. Hope the line will continue with more amazing footwear. Thx boomerchick for the thread/notice.

His boots are stylish, yet comfortable and very well made. I have bought some at clearance at HSN. And sandals... the TS ones from last spring with the large jewels, looks like jewelry for the foot-have 2 pairs ;-)
