All you would have had to do is send it back and request a credit. Personally, I try to always remember that the person answering the phone is not responsible for what you were sent. If we, as customers, have a serious complaint, we should send it in writing to the person or persons in charge.

No they are not responsible personally for what was sent..they are the ""voice"" or ""contact"" that we have with any company..so they need to put their best foot forward since they are in essence representing the Company.

I would not of been a happy camper either to receive a used gift at Christmas and upon calling..offer me a bit of money off..they don't want their own used stuff back either!

Called Customer Service today to complain. They said they would discount the price by 1 EZ pay. I said are you crazy, you want me to keep this damaged set for over $150. This is going back and I am not replacing it. If one person used this and sent it back scratched up and wheels used, I cannot imagine what multiple trips would do to this. It is also odd that there are No reviews online. It was a nice thought but QVC Quality control did not do their job on this one and I made sure to tell the CSR

Unbelievable.....but then again, sometimes I just shake my head in disgust.

Maybe you'll find something you love even better, elsewhere.....watch that your DH's bill doesn't get charged for the return shipping.

I made sure to tell them under no circumstances were we paying for shipping but I will make sure to watch our refund/credit. It makes you wonder what they are selling their "As is" items for price wise and how damaged or used it is.

I recently bought a set of heyes luggage from as is and it was perfect. I don't think the previous owner took it out of the box. Luggage with wear and tear shouldn't be sold period. Sorry that your gift didn't turn out well.

I was actually glad that QVC gave you the option of a discount vs the hassle of packing it up and returning it for full credit or replacement.

I know that one of the sticking points for the Temptations returns is the fact that it is very difficult to pack the entire set back up to ship back because one piece has a chip and many have said they wish they could just get the piece replaced or get a credit of that one piece.

I was recently cured of going on wait list for any item. I know they fill the wait list purchases with returns but I ordered a handbag and it arrived with scratches on the hardware and when I pulled the crumbled dust bag out of the bag there was some kind of lotion or cream spilled in the bottom of the bag. It was disgusting. I heading to post office next week to return and will never again wait list anything again no matter how much I covet it.

Perhaps I would have considered a discount if it would have been reasonable for a clearly used item. To me used should be more then 17% off

Out of curiosity - how much was the "As is" item discounted from the original price?
