Re: Partnership with Marimekko: It’s Finnish, Target Style!

The patterns are bright but I don't think they're pretty.

@ECBG

My thought, too ... they're bright just for the sake of being bright, I think.

Been there done that, but would love to be able to afford it now.

There's a Marrimekko store near me and the prices are too high for the fabric. Marrimekko had the best cotton. Every summer I'd buy one dress. They wore like iron.

Are these Target sizes? If so, how do they run?

@SoX****They're bright, but not extremely pleasing, the goal is to appeal to people as an impulse buy.  They'll buy, but how many times can it be worn before "everyone has seen it?"!

Karen Kane's brights are well done.

Wow. What a blast from the past. I had a comforter with that pattern in HS.  I predict another crazy Target sellout. I think they do it for the publicity - even if it's negative

I had a set of dishes in the 70s that looked just like these:

@lavendar - yes, the sizing is Target sizing/brick & mortor. In the past for Missoni, Lim, Altuzarra collaborations, there was sizing info provided online. I found that they ran true to size.
