Is being over 50 since that seems to be QVC's new overused motto means I need to wear ugly patterns?  QVC overdoses on a concept...& the latest obession is Kim Gravel clothes, Kim Gravel beauty, Kim Gravel anything. Too much Kim Gravel.  And her clothes are ok but what is with all the ugly patterns?  I like some of the styles but I like solids & they dont seem to exist anymore on QVC (or limited) . Not sure what over 50 slogan is doing for me...no special pricing or discounts just a tag line for QVC to sell  their stufff....too much.  Apologies to the community since I am probably just being grumpy.

If you're being grumpy @DebNYC31 then I am too as I agree with you. I much prefer solids and small stripes (think button downs) to loud big colorful prints. I do have 2 blouses in muted small flowers I like.

It's just my style and while I have been gone a long time, think I am still influenced by my roots on the East Coast. I believe you should wear what you feel comfortable in and the occasion your're going too.  Now I'm retired in Texas it's mostly solid tee shirts and blouses in summer with capris and winter sweatshirts and jeans.

I'm very picky about prints andI don't care for the large floral or botanical prints, etc. This just isn't at the Q (which I rarely watch anyway) but in all the stores.and has been going on for Years!!

Alot of Susan Graver patterns  are  too much along with some Denim & Co .

Those cropped wide leged pants Courtney K had on  with  the SG TSV looked really odd

Definitely. Both of these brands are known for their very large, loud prints. They're an easy pass for me.

My fashion complaint for QVC is all the palm tree, big leaves designs - from all their brands.  There must have been a memo sent from the Buyers for one theme this season.  I've purchased none of it.  One item goes a very long way, and I prefer a more subtle approach to that motif.

The hosts keep saying, "the style this season is big bold prints!"  Fine, just not for me.

@Caaareful Shopper.  I'm convinced there is only one buyer and he/she loves palm trees and their fronds.   Big,  oversized prints tend to make the wearer look bigger.

Prints and patterns are very subjective. What one person loves, another may not.

I've seen all kinds of prints on the Q, in local stores, and other online sites this year. Huge tropical and floral prints are really trending, but they're not my style. I prefer small to medium sized geometric or abstract floral prints.

Wear what you love, and ignore the rest.

Re: Ugly Patterns

[ Edited ]

Agreed about Graver's prints.  Really ugly, some of them.  Too much. Not a fan of prints.  Or at least the one I see on Susan and Kim.  The clothing I see in the mall don't have such garish prints.  Much more subtle  at the mall.  Can't wait for some fall clothing.  Another thing that annoys me is QVC version of straight leg pants/jeans.  They are really snug looking.  Very much more like leggings.  I'm pretty sure trousers won't be as wide as they are now coming in to the fall.. Just that they look silly and snug on some of the models.  Especially the heavy ones. And oh big print on plus size just don't chill.

What I have noticed is all the gawd awful neon bright colors are a huge thing too--- as well as very dark satuated colors---why??? I like light, airy colors in reasonable patterns. Is it almost time to start with the fashion for fall? Probably---Woman Frustrated

It's nice to have some prints but I am not a fan of the loud big overwhelming prints.
