I was just binge watching some tv episodes of the sixties and seventies series: That Girl staring Marlo Thomas . Her wardrobe for the series was the true epitome of fashion to me. If you get a chance take a look! I would wear any of her outfits in today’s time. Great taste!

She was so pretty and her hair and makeup were also perfect.  I think its funny when I watch those older programs on how dressed up ladies were just to be at home, gosh I look like a slob at home!  Kind of embarrasing!

I am afraid I don't dress like that at home but I have a neighbor who does and her house is impeccably decorated and immaculately clean all the time.  If you go over in the morning while she is cooking breakfast (if she asks you), you will find her either in a gown and peignoir or a beautiful caftan, hair coiffed, makeup and cologne on.  When she is finished with her housework, she dresses in her gardening clothes, goes out well dressed in jeans and a nice shirt, pulls a few weeds.  Once finished, she goes in, showers, changes into something nice.  Her husband expects that, she says, but I think she expects it of herself.  Although her husband is quite the same, he does vacuum and clean both vehicles, her sedan and his SUV before the sun goes down, rinses them off and puts them in their garage.  It is a little over the top for me, but I admire those who do all that and keep the world clean and beautiful.

She was so pretty! Her hair and complexion were gorgeous. My favorite outfit was a white mini slip type party dress she wore. Perfecto!!!!! The series was so well written and produced.

Audrey had style, too! Loved the elegance and simple lines of her wardrobe!

Oh my goodness! She sounds like she loves fashion so much she doesn’t need much of an occasion to use her wardrobe. If I had Marlo’s wardrobe, I’d dress up every day, too. I noticed in several episodes she had baby flare Jean’s and white boots. It would look posh even today!

I was only 11yo when I started watching That Girl. I don't remember much about the fashions she wore but I do remember her false lashes and that big-hair 'flip'

Your neighbor sounds like a neighbor we had in the 1960's.  My mother would marvel at the way she could paint a room of her house during then day and look immaculate when her husband came home from work.  If I am merely in the same room with an open can of paint it is in my hair.
