The only style jean I still can't stand is boot cut. Because I"m skinny to begin with, I can wear any jean, it's mostly skinny, straight, slouchy or boyfriend. I do have big flares. I also like wearing selvedged (or rigid....no stretch) It's the conservative in between that I just can't abide. Can't help it. Bootcut is dowdy to me.

tunic length tops
flowy, drapey cardigans
tops extending past the bottom of your jacket or sweater...don't mind it so much under a vest
I don't have a problem with distressed jean; I have a problem with paying someone else to distress them!

Interesting comment. I just don't like them. Slim pants are for me though.

NO "faux" suede or leather. NEver seen any that didn't scream Fake.
No fringe
No cold shoulder tops
No high-low hem lines in tops
No ripped, torn or pre bleached jeans
No wide hem pants

They're jeans! They get holes in them, frayed, etc., and that's fine for knocking around on the weekend. We used to put fun patches on them or interesting embroidery...
The fact they're now 'trendy' and we can buy them that way seems silly and the idea that now, since they're 'trendy', they're somehow work appropriate?!

Basically, bell-bottoms that probably flop when you walk (Susan Graver has a pair....thought those when bye bye with the 60's, but they're showing them again....not too sure if they're catching on, though.)
I'm really in to jeans...and they aren't. Don't know why. A couple of brands (J Brand, Frame, DL1961, etc) bought them in....now they're dropping them. One reason is that they are useless with boots in cooler weather. Boots have to be seen. The skinny was made for that.

1. No skinny jeans or leggings (too much junk in the trunk and fries on the thighs)
2. LOGO
3. Isaac (flowers on these hips? Oh no!)
4. Boots that go above the ankle (uncomfortable)
5. Skinny tees (my humps have lumps!)
6. Scarves (I connect them because they're pretty, but I can't wear them year-round like some ladies do. can you say strangulation and suffocating?)
7. Goucho pants (I think they're ugly)
But I live in flare jeans, hiking shoes, a nice duster sweater, and a comfortable tank top.

Pretty much the same list except I do like hi-low hems.
I'll add another...no dresses/skirts...while these are certainly not a "trend" I hate wearing dresses & skirts and only wear them when I absolutely have to. I've even worn dressy pants to weddings.
Maybe it's because we had to wear them through elementary, jr high & early high school and they were uncomfortable!!... plus I don't like how my legs look. So for me it's worse than a trend!
I also go for solids and rarely wear prints.
