Too old to wear jeans?

I missed this discussion on The Today Show. Did anyone else read this on MSN or elsewhere?

"A great pair of jeans never goes out of style. But according to a new study by British company CollectPlus, there's an age at which we should find a new way to be stylish.
And that age ... is 53." (article by Embry Roberts)

What are your thoughts? Do you think there should be an age limit on wearing jeans? I say a resounding "NO!" I'll wear them till I'm too senile to choose my own clothing.

I'm interested in others' opinions.

I remember reading that Denim was going out of style a few years ago. I'm waiting...........Won't be in out lifetime!

I am sitting at the computer, in medium wash straight leg jeans. I probably own 6 pair of jeans in various styles and washes. With a t-shirt and a sweater or fleece, I look good and feel comfortable. I am over 65 and not ready to give up my jeans just yet.

My take ... OMG what are we supposed to wear after 53? polyester pull on pants or wool gabardine "proper trousers"? Aww heck ...just give me my adult diaper and a good old robe.

I do not think there is an age limit for wearing jeans.

I gave up wearing them when I was about 50. I prefer black pants as I feel more put together.

Agreed. There is absolutely no way I am going to wear stretchy pants or anything with any polyester in it. Ponte is out for me, too. I will keep wearing my zip front and button fly jeans.
