I'm a big fan of Tolani (when it's on sale).

There's a shirt on today's Lunchtime Specials. Three colors available .... I bought ivory and navy.  Less than $19 each.  Was $68 each.

@ALRATIBA I own two and love them. They are soft and comfortable.

Re: Tolani Lunchtime Special (update)

The 2 Tolani shirts arrived yesterday - I just walked over to our package room to pick them up.

I'm a Tolani fan - more than satisfied with 15 tops and 1 pants I already own.  Really well made and good fabrics.  (I don't mind having to iron.)

BUT ... these are so much more than I expected.

  • The shirt front is 100% viscose and feels like a very soft flannel.

  • The description said the back was corduroy ... and I was expecting a fine ribbed fabric.  It is a very fine wale.

I'm a bit of a fanatiic about plaids - these are aligned perfectly on both shirts - and I am so pleased with the purchase I just went and bought the third color.

@ALRATIBA  The chest pocket is the feature that looks out of place. Is it easily removed with seam ripper?

@Hilery

In person, the pocket looks okay to me.

While I'm sure you could pick out the stitches and remove the pocket if it bothers you, after reading about the properties of the viscose fabric, personally I would opt not to remove.

Re: Tolani Lunchtime Special

Just want to report ....

These are machine wash cold and hang to dry.  I always hand wash new pieces to check for dye / dirt and I did with these.

I ironed them this morning - quick and easy.  The fabric ironed nicely.

(Ironing isn't a problem for me.  I actually enjoy it ... often reminded of the "little tricks" my mother showed me when she taught me how to iron.

Alratiba:

So refreshing to read a nice, positive review.

Very happy that you like your purchase.

It is an excellent buy!

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
