Today's buzz-word?

Coverage.

I'm sitting here waiting for a phone call from friend whom I'm meeting for lunch .....  D&C on in background.

It seems like every D&C clothing item is designed for coverage.

I think D&C clothing is geared toward women who prefer loose clothing that is meant to cover what they feel are figure flaws, yet has some sense of fashion.

I think it's nice that Q presents clothes for all walks of life.

Mature and the young .

Not everybody wants big , bold flowery prints, but, then not everybody wants holes in shorts, pants, layers of tops in weird hems, etc.

I have never heard men's clothing described as coverage for flaws, lumps and bumps, etc. It is just another way to seize on insecurities (created from pressure to be perfect) in order to sell merchandise. No Thanks!

Okay ... I agree with you ....

But sometimes I think they sell pants that fit like sausage casing so they can sell tops that have COVERAGE!

And then have to go over and peek under the top to check the COVERAGE!

Re: Today's buzz-word?

Lots of mixed messages on the Q

' I always design to figure flatter!" " we love to cover it all up!"

" not 8, not ten, but 14% buttlifting spandex!" Now put this tunic

over it

I find it sad that women feel the need to hide the fact that they're women

Personally, I get a bit tired of the coverage sales pitch, but I’m sure the Q knows many shoppers want coverage, or the hosts wouldn’t always be bringing it up. It’s not just D & Co. I have heard coverage used to describe just about every brand.

Men's clothing is designed to flatter, they just don't sell it on tv..
