Tie dye is not for me and reminds me of a gesture gone wrong.  My husband washed clothes when I was hospitalized one time and everything appeared to be tie dyed but actually he had washed whites with bleach.  The holes in the washer apparently had some residue and he proceeded to put in the colored, hence tie dye........
