Here's how we do tiaras in New Mexico.  This one is used by the queen of the city of Espanola, North of

Santa Fe.  The reigning queen was robbed a few months ago and her tiara was stolen.  She bad-mouthed the townspeople so badly that they uncrowned her.  The crown was found but now they have no queen.

The crown is Indian-made and appropriate for the area.

Wasn't there a runner-up?

What a beautiful crown!   They "uncrowned" her ... guess that's sorta like being "unfriended,"  huh?   Smiley Wink

Maybe the correct term is "dethroned".  I guess there is no runner-up.  They surely "unfriended" her...they were mad.  I'd wear that tiara anytime but think it would be a bit much for the grocery store.
