Beautiful picture. The dress appears to be from 1900 to 1920.

@ECBG @SilleeMee. When we discovered this Drs bag we took it to museum who then told us what it was. Made me feel quite sad realizing what it was but we donated to museum who were happy to receive it.

@dulwich I can guess just how you may have felt. It's sad, but they would have been thrown out on the street in that day if someone did come home pregnant trying to escape a toxic home life.

How desperately sad when today we are in such more control of our destany and empowered by our education.

There are what looks like two butterflies on the wall, above her head. The more I look at the image I think it might not be a photo but a painting. Maybe only part of larger one.
