Just watched the presentation of the playtex bra. This is the same old bra that they have been making for 60 years that I am aware of. They have that seam that goes across the ni**les that will itch. ( I speak from experience here.) And that seam shows through clothes, (again experience.)
I stopped buy playtex bras years ago because of those 2 problems.

I am still on the hunt for a better bra. Thanks for your thoughts on this one. No moreBreezies for me for sure as, I have returned most of the ones I bought and hardly wear the ones I kept.

@Imaoldhippie yes, you are correct. but there are many women who hate bra shopping, they bought this one 20 years ago, and rather than finding something better of different, they stick with familiar and servicable. when i worked retail many moons ago, this was always a popular seller.

Why don't women go to the Foundation Dept. of a good store and be properly fitted for a bra? Then, buy the types of bras necessary for the clothing worn with the help of a specialist. Viola! No complaints with bras ever.
Why would anyone buy from a discount store, shopping channel or on-line? This completely baffles me!

I personally love this bra. I have been buying Playtex front closer for well over 20 years. The seam across the front doesn't bather me in the least much less feel itchy or show through clothing. Comfortable all the way around. Perhaps you should try them again. Much less expensive at Just My Size (JMS)

@BirkiLady In theory, I agree with you that being properly fitted for a bra is invaluable. However, I can totally understand buying a bra brand (or particular style) you are familiar with from home. Playtex 18-hour has been a best seller for decades, and I can see how devotees to that bra would like the deal from QVC and buy the bra. When Wacoal bras were offered by QVC and HSN (at various times over the years) I was always confident buying. I was very familar with how Wacoal fits me whether the style is full cup, soft cup, push-up, demi, etc.

I would love to find a comfortable supportive bra without wire. I haven't found one so I default to comfortable in my private life and supportive in my professional life (quite frankly I enjoy the freedom of not wearing one at all). I've gone the route of getting a professional fitting, but they are limited to their stock in the store. Wish I could resolve this dilemma but unfortunately gravity and being well endowed doesn't seem to coincide with comfort.
@Imaoldhippie I think people who purchase the playtex have given up or given in to the comfort of the known and resort to old bra technology or maybe it works for them.

I have found that Playtex bras run small. You always need to size up. At least that was my experience so I move on from Playtex.

@Imaoldhippie I think Playtex bras have changed a lot over the last 20 years. They have many styles and fabric now. I bought one last year that has totally smooth cups no seams.
