She has had work done, and jokes about it her concerts.PS she was quite gracious when we met her, and I felt star struck and tongue tied, but she made us feel very at ease!

She is beautiful! She has never had anything done to her face. The young man asked her about that. She said her family a long time ago asked her not to do anything to her face and she agreed.
She is so graceful and so beautiful.
....and playing word games. I believe that she hasn't had a face lift but she's had other cosmetic procedures. And there's nothing wrong with that. Good genes and lipstick can only take us so far.
I will take my good genes and lipstick any day over what I saw this evening. JMO.

Kim has been open about her bi-polar, manic depressive disorder. I've seen others who have the same disorder and their looks change from the meds they have to take. Kim may be no different but it may be worsened if she is both doing touch ups and the meds. In the end, it's her business.

Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Judy Dench have all had work. None of them have sat back and just "aged". There is no such thing in their business! The only one in the business I know with not a drop of work, is Briggette Bardot, and she gets raked over the coals all the time. It may have been a while since Judy had work, but she has. Look at necks, and chins. I think Meryl has had a couple small lifts over the years. And GOOD ones. . They all had good surgeons. But it boils down to what the celebrity demands from the Doctor. It is just that some elect not to go as tight, and stick to their features they were born with. Some women that look "odd" have not only had face lifts, with eyes and such, but have had other work that altered their "natural"appearance, like nose work, radical forehead lifts, and implants. One of the most face altering work I have seen done is dental work. Many, many have had veneers and radical dental work done. The altering of the natural placement of the teeth (like cher), really changes an appearance. This alters the jaw line, gives a phoney look, and is so odd on an older person. Teeth that have changed facial appearance to me are Al Pacino, Faye Dunnaway, Hillary Duff, Sylvester Stallone, Melanie Griffith and Cher. The lists go on, they all opt for the same white, straight teeth. The teeth look thick to me, and pushes the lip differently.
Another thing, and this is just my personal opinion again...some women age better than others. They "fall" in the right places. Some look good in their youth, and look old by the time they are 45.
The other thing that some have done too often, is eye lifts. After 2 eyelifts, the eyes are totally changed, IMO. If you take one iota too much from top or bottom lids, the structure is changed IMO. The eyes look smaller, and the shape changes. This is just my opinion.
In the old days actresses just retired from public life, now they want to keep working.

I thought she looked good. I didn't see her on stage but I saw a photo. She also has panic disorders. I think people were too hard on the old gal myself. But what do I know?

I was speechless when I saw her. I find it hard to believe they think they look younger and better with all the surgery and filler injections.
I think she had a neck lift, and fillers in the howdy doody that widened her cheek area. She is one joyful lady though!

I thought Sally Field looked great tonight. Goldie Hawn looked pathetic. G's kept in good shape body wise but her face work is terrible.

Kim Novak was at a TCM event two years ago and her face looked a bit full then and she struggled a bit talking in the interview.
Maybe she got fillers before the awards show and had a bad reaction.
Medications for bipolar are typically mood stabilizers and most likely do not give "moon face" - that is from Prednisone (corticosteroid) use.
Kim's my mom's age, give or take...she had a lot of moxie to come out in the public eye...and then to be trashed on twitter.

Theses Ladies are older and look beautiful compared sadly to Lisa Minelli and Kim Novak.I knew June Squibb was an older actress but I never would have guessed she was 84, she looks wonderful. By the way, Kim Novak is 81. At first I thought Liza looked good i think her face does)until I saw her bra less look, couldn't anyone close to her tell her?
Ugh; I agree. But I thought Ellen D's jokes about her were mean.
