Don't forget older women in the entertainment business have challenges and body image issues that we, thankfully, do not have. So, if plastic surgery boosts their self esteem or helps them get jobs, so be it. If they are happy with results, who are we to criticize?
Men are not foolish enough to ruin their face for vanity.
Kenny Rogers, Bruce Jenner, Burt Reynolds, etc., etc., etc.

I'm not going to say anything negative about anyone for doing anything they think they needed to do for their self esteem or career.
I will say that some look better than others, without naming names, that's for sure. I also think actresses are sometimes damned if they do and damned if they don't.
Yes. It has to be especially difficult in the world of the young and beautiful, but do they really think they're fooling anyone?
Probably not. Maybe they just want to feel better about what they see in their own mirror. I dunno.
I think it's hard to look in the mirror and see this "tired" woman, when you are not tired, feel rested and wonderful! The way you feel does not match the tiredness gravity gives. I saw Racquel Welch on the O'Reily show. Somehow it was just weird, b/c she was seventy or so, and very sexy looking. It was embarrassing as she was looking for Bill to compliment her, and all he could say was she certainly didn't look 70. The dichotomy is strong.

I saw Melanie Griffith in an episode of Hawaii Five-0 and it was almost scary. Plus she just made herself look foolish walking around in cut-off shorts. I mean come on, she played one of the detective's mother and he must in his 30s.

Maybe Meryl Streep and others have had "procedures " too but minimal using a skilled surgeon. Let's not forget Helen Mirren. Wow. I hope I can age naturally and healthy enjoying every step of the journey.
Helen Mirren was a beauty w/o surgery, but she crumbled and had it done. She was a superb example of the beauty in aging.

Way fewer men than women have gone the alien plastic surgery. That is why only a few men are named.

Women have the advantage of artistic hair arrangements, unlike men who show all of the good, bad and ugly.

Blythe Danner, mother of Gwenneth Paltrow, is still beautiful. Don't know if she is still in film, she's in a commercial for an osteoporosis medication, and is just lovely. She doesn't look like she's had anything done--if she has, it must be minimal.

Meryl Streep has had work done, but she obviously has a masterful doctor and likely had a little done at a time throughout her career. Few have completely untouched faces in Hollywood.

I was speechless when I saw her. I find it hard to believe they think they look younger and better with all the surgery and filler injections.
