When we were in lower elementary grades, the (mean) 7th & 8th boys would say, "Your mother wears combat boots and drives a pickle wagon."  We'd cry.

NOT a fan of combat boots or Doc Martens. They're NOT feminine and look clunky and heavy.  IMO, they make feet look BIGGER than they are.

I own 2 pair of Doc Martens ...and another pair off brand.  I just do not like the utility looking ones.

The ones that look like hiking boots.....those I do not like at all.

I own 1 pair, although I would call them more of a "work" type boot. I use them when I shovel snow, etc. I have to have shoes/boots that allow my foot to bend. Lots of these heavy boots have no "bend" to them. Enjoy what you like to wear.

I own a pair of floral Doc Marten combat boots.  I'm not trying to be young or trendy, or any other label.  They're just boots, and I just love them (I've had them for three years).

No!  Other than the fact that they are too much shoe for my foot and legs to handle, they are really awful looking footwear.
