Maybe in a different color. I like the front better than the back in red.

Fashion statement?  If it's your thing.  Water protection?  Nay.  Arms and head are totally exposed.

I like the style, but it is not long enough.  I would want it to fall at least mid-thigh. Love that shade of red too.

Someone unpack this for me.

‘Water Resistant’ means it’s raining.

If it’s raining that hard, wouldn’t your legs/bottom get wet

due to the shorten length?

I live in North Texas...doesn’t rain that much...

so I apologize for my silly question!!

Re: The Water Resistant Cape: Yay or Nay?

Definite YAY!

I used to have one very similar.  It was also red, but mine had a hood.  Got a lot of wear out of it.

Trying to remember when I bought it ... I imagine it was around late 90s.  Got it at Daffy's .... a store I loved that went out of business around the same time as Filene's and Lohmann's.   Last time I wore it was at a football game out at Notre Dame in 2006.  I got some sort of stain on it and ended up throwing it away.

The same day I bought the cape, I bought a long (calf length) reversible raincoat (purple/black w/hood) that I'm still wearing.   For a raincoat ... it's really dramatic / dressy.

I have a "thing" about rainwear and umbrellas.  Never leave home w/o it!

Nay, would not keep you too dry, it doesn't even have a hood. I never have bought just a rain coat. I make do and have an umbrella in my car.

The model in the photo looks like a line backer from the back.  Nay for me.
