The Queen is beloved.

 

I think once she passes the monarchy will never be the same.

She does remember well and her Mother and Father would not allow the girls to be taken from London when the war was on.  Too many families had to stay so their family stayed as well through the bombing.  The Queen is England to me.

Yes, she is a beloved figure and most of the public has never known life without her.  She's a fixture, the foundation and even those in the UK (and there are many) who think it's time to end the monarchy recognize that she is an amazing, strong, steady, dependable woman who always put her responsbilities as Queen first.  She is loved, respected and admired and there will never be another like her.  The monarchy definitely will change.
