Re: The Queen And Sophie Countess Of Wessex

God Bless the Queen.  She still dresses so lovely and looks very good for her age.  She is a stylish lady.

Love to know her secret,of skincare ,amazing few wrinkles.

I'm sure the Queen does take good care of her skin and stays out of the direct sun as much as possible.  But likely it is genetic.  There are two types of skin genetics...you are either a wrinkle-crinkle or a sagger-bagger.  The Queen is the second genetic skin type as am I.  HTH

My mother is 96 and has very few wrinkles.  Her sisters both had them so I guess it's the luck of the draw.  Mother didn't do anything much to her skin--a little mositurizer but never expensive or anti'aging things.

This is what the Queen wore for her taped Christmas address. Prince Philip gave her the brooch in 1966.

I saw pics of Queen taking the train ! down to Sandringham for the holiday and Philip was to be taken down later by car. Wonder why she took the train?

Philip , is 97.

@SharkE  I may be wrong, but isn't it tradition that she takes the train?

The photos around her when she does these videos are always telling.

I would not be surprised if she steps down soon.

Re: The Queen And Sophie Countess Of Wessex

In the last few years, she uses this time of year to announce she is turning over patronages to her kids and grandkids.

I suspect she will offload a bunch more this year.

Sophie has taken on more roles in the last year than in previous years.

Well, this didn't take long...we go from a top ten look of grey-red to this old lady looking print!  The pale print looks heidious and holiday inappropriate.  I would have hoped for something a bit more festive for the Christmas season, but alas, nope.  Big thumbs down on this dress it really makes her look as old as she really is and it didn't have to be this way.  I wonder if the Queen chose this herself?  If so, don't let her pick out any more clothes for public appearances!

@Patriot3.  Yes, I'm pretty sure it is tradition to take the train.

@VaBelle35.  I don't think she will ever step down. Unless of course she becomes to sick or some such health issue.
