My haul has arrived! Without further ado, my report:

The Keepers:

A21327 and A21329- Blazer and skirt w/zipper trim: Wonderful fit on both pieces. The cotton fabric keeps this suit from feeling too "serious". Will definitely wear this one dressed up and dressed down, separately and together. Love that the zipper trim is done down both sides along the front. When the blazer is worn open, you see the zipper on both sides. Such masterful details, and SO designer! On the down side, I will have to reinforce the shank buttons before wearing-they are not sewn firmly enough for my comfort. Also, although it is said that this jacket can be machine washed, I don't know how you could press this unless you have a steamer. In addition, both pieces are beautifully lined and I want to preserve the black color of my separates, so I will dry clean them. Wonderful, true to size fit. You do not need to wear a top under this one, if you so choose. Nothing was showing or fallin' out.

The pencil skirt: I'm not much of a skirt girl, but I wanted the option of the suited look. Now I know why you all raved about Louis' pencil skirts! Ample room everywhere you need it. No comfort issues whatsoever with that back vent zipper. A little long on my shorter frame, but it will work for me. Obviously no way will this skirt work on anyone under 5'2" IMO, unless you make major alterations from the waistband.

A213330- short sleeve T with zipper trim: Oh, the yummy fabric. I got this in the sage to wear with khaki pants. Fit is closer to the body on this one, but true to size. The horizontal seam under the bust was placed perfectly- often these seams are too high for the fuller busted among us.

A213216- Safari shirt jacket in Olive: Oh, how I wish I had gotten this in Straw, too! Great fit, amazing comfort and weight. Equally at home as a shirt ir jacket. Louis was right-feels JUST LIKE silk crepe de chine. Any blouses that Louis can make in this fabric going forward-I'm in- in any and every possible color, especially black (natch). This top and the zip T are two pieces you will absolutely LIVE in!

Just one piece did not make the cut for me, and that was the anorak. Loved the fabric in the black-very substantial, yet feather light. Hard to describe. The dealbreaker, as I had feared, were the sleeves. I did not like the way they looked when rolled up, so I knew that would not be for me. When rolled down, the 3/4 length is awkward, and as the "cuff" is very wide, the styling made me look too wide. As for sizing, I think the online measurements may have been wrong. My regular size fit well-I did not find the anorak to be oversized at all. I am afraid that if you sized down you may be disapppointed.

My last purchase was the Roma Ponte jacket with stand collar in Magenta. I had to pick this up when Louis announced that there will be no more of this gorgeous fabric. I found the color to be more purple than pink, but this jacket looks like it was tailor made for me. You might not love this one if you have long arms.

Please forgive typos! I wanted to get this out to everyone ASAP. I will check back later for your questions-DS needs the computer to finish his homework.
