They appear too short, hate the back pockets, and they will look wrinkled all the time. I do not wrinkled clothing. Other than that, they are fine, lol. To each their own.

For those interested they're a 29 inch inseam. I did not see a tall option nor a petite

Just to add . . . they are meant to have a "slim ankle-length leg that looks equally smart rolled up or worn down." Thus, the 29" inseam. Orvis offers other chinos (Everyday Chinos) for those who like full-length, more classic pants; they have a 32" inseam.

These look like a jeans stye, in chino fabric, and pretty fall colors. 

I've never really stopped wearing chinos, but I think they are due for an update, and these will do very nicely!
