Years ago, maybe in the mid 1980s to late 1980s, I had a corduroy dress that looked just like that by Laura Ashley.  I did not think I was going to like it on the hanger, but the lady encouraged me to try it and it became one of my favorite items.  So easy, casual dress.  Great wear and quality.  How far from corduroy can crushed velvet be?

Years and years ago I also had one very similar, not corduroy but a cotton. I loved it so much I wore it till it was worn out. 

I think I've always had my eye out for another similar one (:

Nay for me. No offense, but the dress looks matronly to me. I picture a very old woman with white hair wearing that dress with orthotic black pumps.
