I thought bombers were short jackets with banded waist and I don't like them, especially on me.

I do like this anorak, but it wouldn't call it bomber, it is merely a jacket with cuffs to me.

It's really a hybrid of the two -- knit collar and cuffs like a bomber, with the longer shape and drawstring waist of an anorak.

Nay. The jacket is suffering from an identity crisis. It's not sure what it is, lol.

I like it the way it's worn in the first photo but I prefer it in the gray color. The way the gray one is shown looks shapeless. I guess that's the beauty of the drawstring, you can cinch it in as little or as much as you want. I definitely like a more minimalist look so I appreciate the lack of "bells and whistles".

I don't like bombers but this looks fine open. Unfortunately I really dislike the way it looks closed!

Love both but would take taupe. What line is this a part?

@Zernia Rose

It's from Bagatelle, at Nordstrom Rack.

I do like it.  I like the style, the length and I like that it does not have  a hood.

Re: The Bomber Anorak: Yay or Nay?

I generally do like anything anorak-like (that is, with a drawstring at the waist) -- my torso is the slimmest part of me, and garments which fit me elsewhere (I have fairly broad, square shoulders) or are a bit boxy in general often have way too much fabric through the body. The drawstring allows me to cinch something in to improve the fit and emphasize my waistline.

I love everything about Anoraks - except the cinched waist. The waistline usually hits at the wrong spot. Plus, I have a big waist and don't want to highlight it. I look for jackets without that feature.

This one is attractive, though. I think it would suit a taller person.
