They are cute on others but not for my old bod. One that has always baffeled me is a sleevless turtleneck. I guess I understand if for a layering piece (like the old dickies) but how can your neck be cold and your arms hot?

I just cannot get into that look. I'd rather have something strapless than cold shouldered.

As long as I'm not forced to wear it - or any of the other fashion fads that I don't care for - I'll survive. I may have to work harder to find the classic styles I like but that's OK. Lots of ladies like the fads & want to wear them. And so they should.

The young gals have moved on from the cold shoulder to the off the shoulder peasant style now.

I don't have one yet, but if I found one above the elbow I'd get it for summer. Every now and then I get those KP bumps on my arms right where that would hide it.

they are getting almost as bad as the "i hate facebook threads," the "i hate cellphone threads," the "i hate (insert host name) threads," the "bag lady" threads, and more. ![]()

And for jewelry lovers...those adjustable sliding-ball bracelets are everywhere and I just can't stand them! sorry.

Those bracelets are my new passion. I have extremely small wrists and their adjustability is perfect for me. No more brackets sliding off. I'd like to know where the "everywhere " is that your seeing them. I need more!

I bought one cold shoulder blouse (top) in black from the Q. It was very well made with great material. I wore it to a theme dance... costume square dance.. and with black pants everyone said I looked great AS A BIKER. I had to laugh since I had no idea what it would represent... I just wanted to wear it.
When I put it on my husband asked me if I knew the sleeves had a cut in them and did I want to change before I left. I had a good laugh and had a hard time convincing him that it was THE STYLE and there was nothing wrong with the shirt.

I agree with you that when something is so over done, I get turned off. I did buy one cold shoulder by INC which I love. It's kind of a peasant style and made so beautifully with a liner tank top attached to it. I will wear it even if they are declared out of style next year. LOL.
