Re: Tee I Ordered Reeks Of Perfume

I just took the tee out of the dryer, and it doesn't seem to smell like perfume anymore.  I will see if I can still smell it when I wear it.

@NickNack, if you can't smell it now, I'm sure that it's fine. I would have done exactly what you did. The sweater wasn't contaminated, for goodness' sake; it just needed to be washed to get rid of the perfume. Enjoy it.

Re: Tee I Ordered Reeks Of Perfume

I sent Loft an e-mail about the tee reeking of perfume, and today I got an e-mail from them that they had credited my account.  They even credited my shipping even though I had ordered some corduroy pants, too.  That's good customer service.  It never crossed my mind that they would do that.

I ordered a sweater and a tee from Loft last week.  I usually have good luck ordering from Loft.  I'm happy with the way both of them look and fit, but the tee reeks of perfume.  I could hardly wait to get it off and into the laundry.  The tags were still intact.  I don't know if someone returned it, and Loft put tags back on it and resold it, or it just got that way from someone trying it on.  That's never happened before.  I just couldn't believe the strong perfume smell.

I am told that certain customers learn how to remove and replace tags so that it is barely discernable.  They wear them a couple times and return them.  Either you or the company is stuck with their stink and it stinks to high Heaven that the prices are what they are because of amoral people who do this.

When I had that happen once with a garment ordered and received from Q, I hung it outside on a cold night, standing about 2 feet away, spritzed it with a bottle filled with half-water and half-vinegar.  It did not smell of anything the following day.
