Does anyone know if the charging station has to be wall mounted or can it just be left on the floor. Thank you!!

I have had two of these dysons, the first one they made like this and the latest one which has more power. you do not have to use the wall mount. They are charged by plugging into a wall outlet, much like your cell phone chargers. I have never wall mounted mine. I dont ever want to be without this sweeper, absolutely love them.

For a very long time I hasked this model on my boat for quick cleanup only as a hand vac, none of the other parts, such as used for floor cleaning, were kept on board, for lack of room. The docking station was plugged into a 110v AC outlet and the top (hand vac) of the Dyson was plugged into the docking station. None of it was on the "wall" or bulkhead (which is what walls are called on a boat). Just on the floor of the boat's interior.  It charged just fine and gave good service. I no longer own that boat and eventually moved the vac to the garage, without mounting the charger on the wall there either.
