Re: TIE DYING IS EVERYWHERE....AGAIN!

[ Edited ]

I appreciate tie dye that is done outside of the box. On a recent Project Runway, Nancy created this beautiful and subtle tie dye pattern. I had a dress very similar in tie dye pattern and colors, but I guess it wasn't sparking my joy so I donated it.

If done right and by the right people like Bagatelle it is wonderful !

Their dip dyed white, blue and mango shade jacket was beautiful, but, the sizing was only for the young and skinny.

I'm trying to get Gary Goben to bring on some dip dyed for the rest of us.

I don't mind the look if it is not over done.

I've never cared for it and with a few exceptions I still don't.

@Shanus

I confess to having several tie-dye tunic tees in my closet.  Most are singular colors, but one is multi-color.

Not sure I would want too much more than that, but I am drawn to it.

Love dip-dye, too, but I've found that the colors run too much and it ends up being one, diluted color.  At least that has been my experience.  I don't buy it for that reason alone, but I do like it.

I did not like tie dye back in its day and do not like it now.  If you like it, enjoy it; I will pass.  Designers don't know what to do anymore so they bring back fashions from the past.  The 70's were a nightmare for fashion.

@SharkE   Isaac has been showing dip dyed pieces. I thought I saw D&Co., as well.

I love it and always have.

I'm less excited about some of the boring tie-dye I've seen so far this year, though. I prefer vibrant colors.
