[Favorite Son]

I am down to the point where I buy only the whisper knits from this line, and I ordered this sweater. It arrived yesterday. I ordered the mulberry, olive, and black. I am keeping only the olive and black, and maybe only the black. I don't like the swing style in the lighter color. I'm just not wild about the design, however much I do love the ENR knit. That's probably just a personal preference; I do not own any other asymmetric items and prefer more fitted styles, even when it comes to a tunic. For instance, I bought this GILI sweater, A235275, early this year and LOVE it. I like the longer length and I think it is more figure flattering, at least for me. Now this is a horrible picture, but if you watch the video you'll see it in action and it is quite pretty.

Anyway, back to the Linea swing sweater. I would definitely NOT size up in this. I think that would make the sweater float away from the upper ribcage area, and just add to the bulk. I find the flare to be a bit overdone. I would have preferred two to three more inches of length and less flare. But again, that might just be me. As for sizing down, I believe that would cause the sweater to be too tight in the underarm area, creating those telltale horizontal rumples in the underarm area that are a sign of an ill fitting garment.

I've been on the hunt for a few good tunics to wear this fall, and so in addition to this sweater and adding another GILI one in gray like is posted above, I am also awaiting delivery of a Joe Zee tunic (A258123) in a cotton/cashmere blend. I ordered it because it came in green and it seemed like a less pricey alternative to this whisper knit - especially when I saw the price of $54.50 on the swing sweater. The Joe Zee sweaters are out for delivery today. Once I try one and wash one of those, I'll decide whether to keep both the olive and black swing sweaters. (I never decide about a QVC cotton/cashmere blend until it has been washed once. Some of those blends here are absolutely awful.)

I ordered the olive swing sweater and received the olive skirt, of course my small is on wait list.

Called CS, they gave me a $10 credit and placed me on the wait list for a small. Hope I get it or someone may have a small they don't want.

As always, you slay me, WNYgal. I grew up in a community that was totally agrarian-based until the 1970s. It's funny, a couple weeks ago I went back for a visit, and it isn't as though I haven't noticed the gentrification that was done to save the town over the past several decades, but something pushed me over the edge this last time. As I described it, you would have thought this original German settlement had become Paris, what with every restaurant, it seemed, having an outdoor eating area that you had to navigate, block after block. And, of course, there were dogs on a leash everywhere you looked. I'm not against progress or dogs, but something seemed really off.

Well, The Washington Post covers the metro area, and my once small town is part of that coverage. Had to laugh because a recent story covered the upcoming local town election for sheriff (I think), and many locals are fed up with the "liberal, wine-swilling, outdoor dining" folks who have had the audacity to put up one of their own. (I am writing this tongue-in-cheek, just to be clear.) His opponent is a buck-hunting local who challenged the new guy to slay a buck, if he had the ability or whatever.

I am not as bad as the buck-slayer, but I guess I sensed something really different.

Anyway, I grew up with "make hay while the sun shines," "up Goose Creek without a paddle" and "down the road a piece."

I'm a country girl myself, but the trope from Thomas Wolfe is both a fact and a truth, isn't it. There's only one direction, & that's forward. Some people have a harder time accepting that than others. But this is the Linea forum, so let's all enjoy our lovely new pieces, olive or otherwise, & look forward to wearing them!

I always find that my WKs draw up just a tad with laundering following the directions, so I usually stick with my usual Medium. I have some WKs in Small, and the fabric is so forgiving, the fit on me with that size is also good.

My mulberry just came in! I love it, nice drape, nice swing. Olive with the slim pant just shipped. I'm glad I treated myself.

My mulberry just arrived, and I sized down to a L from my usual XL, and WOW! It looks like the one did on Jackie last night, perfect. This is so slimming and the color is perfect for me. I did order it in the Stone yesterday in XL so I'll see if that works too, a little more Eileen Fisher-esque maybe.

This sweater is how Logo should be, IMO. Looks great with slim pants, the mid calf WK skirt, slim jeans, and I bet even bootcuts. Not overpowering at all for my 5' 4" size. Yay!!

Now to patiently await the suede jacket and the reversible faux fur Stone one....

This sweater makes my tummy disappear! Well, almost. I'm surprised it's so flattering. I wear xl in Linea and am larger on bottom than on top. I'm keeping the mulberry and black. The olive gives my fair skin a yellowish cast, so I have to return it. Linea hunter green is a much better green for me. The ENR makes this sweater feel so smooth and comfy. The heft reminds me of last year's WK pants that were nice and long. Hope this one will be reordered next year in more colors.

I received my olive and black swing sweaters today and I am pleased with the fit. Being petite and busty, I wasn't sure how it would look. To my surprise, the length is just perfect, not too long. The bust is fitted but flares out nicely through the waist and hips. I think I will try for the stone, since it looked so fab on the models. I also received the slim leg pants and all I can say is WOW, WOW,WOW!!!! I don't understand it and can't explain it, but the size 10 olive and the size 8 black both fit and are very slimming. (I still expect to see a size 16 when I look in the mirror.) But the shocker is the length. They don't need shortening and they don't need heels if I don't feel like wearing them. Oh I AM a happy girl. I'm on a roll, I am off to order the coat in stone while its still available on waitlist.

Got my swing sweaters today in Black and Mulberry, and they're perfect in the smaller of my 2 WK plus sizes, with plenty of ease. Glad I didn't size up; love the sweaters. I'd order more colors, but the olive and stone don't work with my coloring. Hope this one comes back in more colors; I'd love Ruby or Chili or Brick Red

I like my first one that arrived today so much I thought I'd order another, with one already on the way, and to my surprise they are all on waitlist! It's a fantastic sweater so I hope there will be more colors, and WL orders will be filled.
