Someone recently posted here that they preferred button front cardigans over open front cardigans.  I also prefer having buttons.  

I just stumbled on these sweater clips though on Et sy that are a pretty solution for keeping an open front cardigan some what secured.  I would imagine they would work best on lighter weight sweaters.  You could also use these clips to secure a scarf.

I could probably use a couple of those since I have so much trouble with buttoning things. Hands are so messed up.

I remember wearing these 'back in the day' but with a chain between the clips.  I guess it's true what they say about everything old being new again.

Good idea.  I use my old fashion pins and just pin the front together.  Works great.

I use vintage pins and  hat pins to keep my cardigans closed, but I do like what the OP shared.

This is a great idea! Pins make holes in clothes, these don't!
