She is not a seamstress. She called gathering, shiring. There is a difference. I bought a liquid knit I think about 20 years ago. It was a twinset. It was flimsy material stretchy. Kind of cheap looking and not cool for hot or summer weather.

Absolutely no one cares about some minor semantics.  Just as no one cares about your experiences with liquid knit from 20 years ago because the liquid knit fabric had changed over the past 2 decades plus.

The older I become, I almost always have to wear smooth, liquid-y fabrics against my skin.

Years ago, I often wondered why my mom used to do the same.........Now I know.

I admire Susan G. for being 'hands-on'.....she is totally involved in her business, and works very hard.

The fashion industry isn't the easiest industry on earth.

Every single item has to be 'on time'.  Fabric, prints, buttons, trim, notions, etc., etc.

If one thing is 'late', it's a disaster.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

My mom taught me to sew on her Singer sewing machine. It had a shirring foot attachment, also known as a gathering tool.
