Yes, they're getting pricey. If an article of clothing goes up in price from $40 to $46, which is very common with Susan Graver clothes this year, that's a 15% increase. No one in our household has gotten a 15% salary increase. It makes me more selective of where and how I buy my clothing.

Compared to a few years ago, just about EVERYTHING is more expensive! Have you been in the supermarket recently?

True. Prices have gone up in the grocery store and everywhere else in between. In my opinion, Susan's items have jumped higher than other lines. That's not saying other lines haven't also gone up and may outpace the price increase of Susan's line. If it's a certain color or style that I've been looking for, price doesn't always matter. If it's an impulse buy, price always wins out and I don't buy.

Compared to Chicos, no. Compared to Slinky on HSN, yes. Mainly because HSN has sales and specials which bring down the price.

Most lines on QVC have become pretty close to $50. per item since the S&H was lowered. Personally I will not spend that for most one piece apparel except maybe coats. The only SG items I have purchased are her coats and was quite pleased with those. I thought they were very good quality and more to my taste than what was offered in B&M stores. I check out the clearance here ,other online shopping channels, and B&M stores. I want to try SG's liquid knit when I come across something on a markdown that I could use , but gamble with $50. plus back and forth shipping if it doesn't fit--no.

Costs depend on your life style also. I see where someone that needed office attire on the job/career, some one that traveled a lot, or had a busy social schedule may need high quality items to wear well and build wardrobe with would invest in those prices.

I don't. I find D&C a little less expensive on some things and more to my needs. They wear well. I still shop clearance for those. I also find good quality at Burlington , Marshalls , and thrift stores.

Some of her items are overpriced for sure. I just received a pair of pants that I think are clearly overpriced for what they are - disappointed. I do like a lot of her clothing though.

I think Susan's clothes are well made so I don't mind the higher prices.

Geographics has a lot to do with how one views prices. However and nevertheless, Susan's prices have gone up by a lot recently. The reasons could be many, one being everything goes up.

As a soon to be 81 year old who has trouble hiking around stores, I'm more than happy to pay a little higher price for clothing I know from experience will fit well and wear well. Almost all of my clothing, except pants which are D&Co, are Susan's. My daily dilemma is which of the many tops do I wear? That's a good problem to have.

I agree.

I was a Graver fan when she came to the Q 20 years ago because I LOVED her peachskin (the original lighter/softer version) and bought quite a lot. I also loved her Mole Skin items but both those fabrics have gone out of style and I just don't like the thin fabrics she has for sale. I'm buying a lot less because of this and the hike in prices.
