Having had cataract surgery last summer, it would be very comfortable to have some readers for receipts, menus, whatever.
I went to amazon since I didn't like what I saw at the drug store.
WOW! So many sites in addition to amazon for glasses with no glass, readers, and prescriptions of course!
Discussions of frame shapes and colors by major influencers.
Some really nice choices; they do affect your appearance of course! I wanted red if they were out there!
I thought just wearing a glasses frame for "style" was gone if you didn't need glasses! Not!

There's whole big world out there for readers!

I'm ready for a readers upgrade in strength myself. I bought three pairs of Prive Revaux from QVC a few years ago. The frames are identical except in color and I like them very much. I've been waiting to see more shows on to see some choices. I'm wondering if they're phasing out of working with the Q?

I've always been far-sighted. When I was 24 I discovered I needed glasses for close work. I wasn't against glasses, just surprised I'd needed them so young.
The woman who helped me with frames changed everything with this:
"Remember ... eyeglasses are jewelry for your face."
That comment changed everything for me.

Oh my! So many choices and varietyout there!
I was always near sighted and did monovision contacts all of my life. The dr balanced out my eyes when I had cataract surgery.
At work there are barrel lights with a filter. If I have a receipt printed in a light ink, it's hard.

@Tinkrbl44 love that statement, so true.

@ECBG Thanks, I'm sure you're right and I should look around more. Actually, I really need to see the eye dr before diagnosing my own strength again lol. I have noticed since I began wearing readers my eyesight without them isn't what it used to be either. Plus, it's been years so nice I had my eyes checked.

@ECBG Hope you're doing well.
I wore my RX glasses off and on just to read when about 50. It was a pain in the **** taking them on and off and didn't need them for driving, mostly reading, etc. I started wearing them all the time and lo and behold before long I needed them all the time.
I'd get contacts in a minute, but can't even put eye drops in my eyes without them dripping all over my face and blinking 100 times! It'd never work.
My frames are tinted to be sunglasses when I'm outside. Lazy, kind of. I was changing glasses every time I went in the car. Walking Molly, I had to go to the car to get the other glasses, riding w/ DH, forgot my sunglasses in my car.
Big Plus w/ glasses, under eye wrinkles are less noticable.

I had cataract surgery in 2019. After wearing glasses since I was about 12 years old I never want to wear another pair of glasses unless they are sun glasses. And fortunately I don't have to wear anything. Only sunglasses. I don't even need readers.
