Summer Clothing

[ Edited ]

I don't remember another year where soooo many long sleeved tops were sold as summer clothing.  Cardigans, tops, dresses, etc.  Why?  I understand AC, and a very few states where it may get chilly enough for this, but not all day.  Where are the cute tank tops, capris (more than a spattering), short sleeve tops, not $60 t-shirts.

I don't know, to me it seems like everything I see presented is long sleeved sweaters and tops.

Haven't bought one piece of clothing.

And, might I add, the stripes are all horizontal!!  Who wants that?

Lots of places to buy summer clothing.  As for stripes, it depends.  I have a few tops with horizontal stripes and I feel it makes me look thinner!

@kaydee50 I'm with you on the stripes...it depends on width of stripes, and if there are varying widths, the placement of the stripes. I'm an XL--1X, and have several striped tops that I think are very flattering. Also depends on body shape.

I am a sleeves type of girl and I wear long sleeves with sun protection doing pasture chores.  I bought several sweaters this year with long sleeves.  I'm also not out in the heat much and stay in air conditioning.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I wear long sleeves.  I don't want any sun exposure on arms when I'm out of doors. I have sensitive skin.

Inside just about everywhere is air conditioned.

(I do wear sleeveless ... but only as a layering piece under something long sleeves.)

I don't buy any clothes from QVC but I've noticed they are selling mostly long sleeves. I haven't worn a long sleeved shirt since March and won't wear one until late November. I don't care how cold the a/c is, when it's 115 outside it feels great.

@snipsnapsnur. I agree. I'm long past finished with long sleeves until late fall with daytime temps in 80s.

I try to stay out of trouble so I don't have to wear strong horizontal stripes.   Surely not going to buy them.
