I see what you mean...do you have the room in luggage to lug the booties? I'm assuming you'll be wearing them on the 'plane and then for the remainder of the afternoon and evening in ATL, and then again on the return leg...? Unless your outfits wouldn't look quite right with tennies (and warm socks...that should be okay for ATL), I think it would be worth lugging the booties.

I would wear ballet flats. I think flats would work on the plane, in Atlanta at night, and tropical vacation. You could wear some warm hosiery if cold in Atlanta and remove before ariving in the tropics.

Since you have to take shoes on & off at the airport booties seem to be a little more trouble than they would be worth. I'd wear slip on & off shoes that you can wear with socks, as you don't want to go through the line totally barefooted.
